We honor country music artists from across the state of South Dakota and to promote country music.

Our Mission is to honor country music promoters from around the state.  Our event will be held on the Second Sunday in September of each year.

Kenny Powell & Jeanette Powell

The South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame started as a brainstorm of Kenny Powell to honor his uncle, Curt Powell, who was an accomplished musician.  Curt passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  The event has turned into an annual charity event with proceeds being donated to charity through raffles and donations.

Donations and funds being raised will be used to help fund purchases of band instruments for school children throughout the state that have financial needs.
